Michaels Baptism

Dear family,
I've been wanting to tell you all about Michael Cummins baptism.
The blogger won't let me post. Dave is going to help me fix this problem but in the meantime, I'll send this under Hillarie's name.
Michael has been investigating the gospel for many years. He's been close to joining several times. Last spring, Michael expressed an interest again and asked Cindy to help get him in touch with the sister missionaries serving in our ward. Daddy was out of work and he joined with the missionaries weekly as they came to teach him in our home every Wednesday afternoon. Michael felt like Daddy was able to answer all his questions. He felt like he was on the "fast track" this time and his desire to get baptized grew. When he committed to baptism, he asked Daddy if he'd baptize him. His baptism day was October 7 and of course he was excited and nervous. The service was beautiful. Cindy flew in from Washington since he had asked her to sing, "I Know my Redeemer Lives." She sang like an angel. Hillarie gave an excellent talk on baptism. Tom Wehrmeister talked on the Holy Ghost. The next day he was confirmed by Elder Covey (Stepen Covey's grandson), one of the Elders that taught him. Michael has been called to be the assistant Blazer scout leader and will serve with Daddy. Their first campout will be on Oct. 27. Michael is excited about the gospel. He'll receive the Aaronic Priesthood next Sunday.
It's been a spiritual journey helping him prepare for baptism. Now he wants to prepare to go to the temple in a year. He keeps thanking us for helping him and we keep thanking him for letting us be part of this wonderful journey. We love you,
Mom and Dad
